Trip Overview

A closer look

Unravel the spiritual valley of Langtang and behold its enigmatic mix of glaciers, mountains, subtropical and temperate forests, and multi-ethnic Himalayan communities. The drive from Kathmandu to Langtang Valley stuns you with wild and serene views of massive snow-capped peaks and beautiful glaciers. Discover surprisingly verdant midlands and stay in villages to immerse yourself in Tamang culture and connect with locals. The trek also offers panoramic mountain vistas and pristine landscapes at every turn. This itinerary takes you to an altitude of around 4,000 m, and if you want to go higher, you should not miss the sunrise from Tserko Ri at 5,000 m. The villages of this valley were destroyed during the April 2015 earthquake. The people of the region are slowly returning to normalcy, and your visit can be a meaningful contribution to their recovery. This trek is perfect for adventurous, active travelers looking for something different that lies well off the tourist trail.
