Trail conditions in September
Early September walks like August, wet underfoot with leeches in the lower forest. From about the 15th the trail dries out quickly and the leeches disappear within a week of the last sustained rain.
The valley is at its greenest of the year in September, with grass to the moraine edge and the last of the wildflowers still out at the top. Combined with clean air and a clear Langtang Lirung, the second half of September is arguably the most photogenic period on this trek.
Tserko Ri comes back into play as the ground dries. Late September gives good conditions for it with none of the October traffic on the path.
