Why Tibet

Where earth
meets sky

Tibet is the spiritual heart of the Himalayas. Home to the Potala Palace, the sacred Mount Kailash, and monasteries that have preserved Buddhist wisdom for over a thousand years. A journey to Tibet is a journey to the very edge of the world -- and to the center of something deeply human.

To stand on the Tibetan plateau is to understand why the ancients believed the sky was closer here. The air is thin, the light is golden, and every monastery bell carries across valleys that have echoed with prayer for a thousand years.

Our Tibet Lhasa Tour brings you face to face with the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and the bustling Barkhor circuit -- the living heart of Tibetan Buddhist culture. The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage around the most sacred mountain in Asia, revered by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon practitioners alike.

The Everest Base Camp Overland Tour offers a unique perspective on the world's highest peak -- approaching from the north through the vast Tibetan plateau, with views that are impossible from the Nepal side. Mountain Hawk Trek manages all Tibet Travel Permits, group visas, and logistics through our trusted Lhasa-based partners, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience at the roof of the world.

Altitude acclimatization is essential. Our itineraries include gradual ascent profiles and rest days. Lhasa sits at 3,650m, and Kailash parikrama reaches 5,630m at Dolma La Pass.

Entry to Tibet is via Kathmandu (overland or flight to Lhasa) or via mainland China. We coordinate all border crossings, domestic flights, and ground transport.

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a 14-day journey departing from Kathmandu. The Tibet Lhasa Tour is a 7-day cultural immersion. The EBC Overland Tour is a 10-day adventure combining Lhasa sightseeing with the north face of Everest.
