Trip Highlights

The moments that matter most

The second day of safari in a different park sector increases your chances of diverse sightings. Different habitats (grassland vs forest edge vs riverine) support different species. The afternoon safari catches animals at water sources.

The guided jungle walk on foot puts you at eye level with the forest. Your naturalist guide reads tracks, identifies bird calls, and points out signs of tiger and rhino activity. Walking in tiger country is a different experience from a vehicle.

The elephant breeding centre houses orphaned and rescued calves. You see baby elephants being raised for eventual release or conservation work. The visit supports Chitwan's conservation breeding program.

Trip Overview

A closer look

The Chitwan Jungle Safari Package is a 4-day extended safari in Chitwan National Park with two full days of wildlife activities. The extra day compared to the 3-day package gives you a second jeep safari in a different sector of the park, a guided jungle walk, and more time for birdwatching and wildlife photography.

Activities include: morning and afternoon jeep safaris in the park's core zone, Rapti River canoe ride through crocodile habitat, guided jungle walk with naturalist, elephant breeding centre visit, Tharu village tour, and evening cultural dance performance. The extended schedule significantly increases wildlife encounter probabilities.

All park entrance fees, lodge accommodation, three meals daily, and activities are included.

For a shorter Chitwan experience, the Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour covers the highlights in 3 days (USD 260). For tiger-focused wildlife in western Nepal, the Bardiya Jungle Safari Tour is 5 days (USD 750).
