Conquer theHimalayan giants
For true mountaineering adventure seekers, Nepal's high-altitude expeditions promise more than just an experience. Himalayan peaks tower above the clouds and test the strength of body and mind.
The highest peaks
on Earth
Nepal is home to eight of the fourteen peaks above 8,000 metres. The Himalayas offer technical challenges, varying landscapes, and cultural riches that make every expedition a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
At Mountain Hawk Treks, we conduct professionally guided mountaineering expeditions to some of the highest peaks in the world. We assure safety, success, and unforgettable journeys with our team of experienced Sherpa guides, mountaineers, and support crew.
8,000m+ Peaks
- Mount Everest (8,848m) — The greatest dream of every climber. Expert guiding, acclimatization strategy, and high-altitude support to maximise success rates.
- Kanchenjunga (8,586m) — A very remote and challenging climb along Nepal's eastern border. True solitude and raw adventure.
- Lhotse (8,516m) — The world's fourth highest, next to Everest. Technically demanding yet rewarding.
- Makalu (8,463m) — Named for its pyramid shape. Highly technical with few successful ascents.
- Cho Oyu (8,201m) — One of the more accessible 8,000m peaks. An excellent introduction to extreme altitude climbing.
- Dhaulagiri (8,167m) — Steeply inclined, covered by ice and rock, remote, and very demanding.
- Manaslu (8,163m) — The "Mountain of the Spirit." A culture-rich trek before the icy summit.
- Annapurna (8,091m) — One of the most rewarding climbs. Known for unpredictable weather and technical difficulty.
6,000m & 7,000m Peaks
We also conduct expeditions on 6,000m and 7,000m peaks for climbers planning to build toward 8,000m summits or gaining high-altitude experience:
- Island Peak (6,189m)
- Mera Peak (6,476m)
- Lobuche East (6,119m)
- Ama Dablam (6,812m)
- Baruntse (7,129m)
These climbs help build the necessary skills and endurance for higher summits.

Training & Preparation
Climbing an 8,000m peak requires months of physical training, mental preparation, and technical skills. We recommend cardiovascular fitness, strength training, altitude adaptation, and technical climbing practice before your expedition.
For beginners working toward an 8,000m peak, we suggest starting with smaller Himalayan peaks (6,000m–7,000m) to build the necessary experience.
