Starting from Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region, the trek follows the less-traveled Paiya Route, offering a unique perspective of the Himalayan landscape. Pass through quaint villages like Pangom and Ramailo Danda, immersing yourself in the local culture and hospitality along the way.
Trekking through the pristine wilderness of Makalu Barun National Park, you will encounter diverse ecosystems teeming with wildlife. Ascend gradually through Chhatra Khola and Kothe, soaking in the stunning mountain vistas that surround you.
As you approach the base of Mera Peak, the excitement builds. Follow the carefully planned Mera Peak climbing itinerary, which includes acclimatization days and a gradual ascent to ensure a safe and successful summit bid. Traverse Thangnak and Khare before reaching Mera High Camp, where you prepare for the final push.
Summit day dawns with anticipation. With expert guidance from our experienced climbing team, you make your way to the top of Mera Peak, where an unparalleled panorama awaits. Behold the majestic peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Kanchenjunga, all visible from this single vantage point.
After achieving this remarkable feat, you have the option to extend your adventure by traversing the challenging Amphu Lapcha Pass or returning directly to Lukla.

Trek to Pangom (2,846 m), approximately 5 to 6 hours. Overnight at teahouse.
Trek to Ningsow (Sibuje) (3,150 m), approximately 7 to 8 hours. Overnight at teahouse.

A few things worth knowing before you commit. No sugar-coating, no surprises on day one.
You should be in excellent general fitness and comfortable on steep snow with crampons. Prior high altitude experience helps but is not required with our conservative acclimatisation schedule.
There is a genuine risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) on any trip with multiple overnight stays above 3,500m. Your climbing guide will monitor O2 and pace daily.
Teahouses on the approach are simple and basic. Electricity and hot showers may cost extra in the higher villages.
Travellers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
