Combine the Manaslu and Annapurna circuits in a single 23-day trek. Cross Larkya La (5,106m) around Manaslu and Thorong La (5,416m) around Annapurna. Two passes above 5,000m, two 8,000-meter peaks, maximum Nepal in minimum time. From USD 2,475.
Two 8,000-meter peaks, two high passes, and three weeks of walking through the most varied terrain in Nepal. The Manaslu section is wild and restricted; the Annapurna section is culturally rich and established. The contrast between the two circuits is part of the experience.
Dharapani is the pivot point. You walk into this village from the Manaslu side having crossed Larkya La, and walk out heading west toward Chame and Manang. The trail junction marks the transition from restricted wilderness to established circuit.
Thorong La (5,416m) is 310 meters higher than Larkya La, making this the harder of the two crossings. By the time you reach Thorong La on day 18 or 19, you have been walking at altitude for two weeks and your body is well-acclimatized.
The Manaslu and Annapurna Circuit Trek is a 23-day dual loop that circles both Manaslu (8,163m) and Annapurna I (8,091m) by linking the two circuits at Dharapani. You cross two passes above 5,000 meters: Larkya La (5,106m) on the Manaslu side and Thorong La (5,416m) on the Annapurna side. This is the most ambitious standard trek available in Nepal.
The first section follows the Manaslu Circuit from Soti Khola through the Budhi Gandaki gorge, Samagaon, Samdo, and over Larkya La to Bimtang and Dharapani. At Dharapani, the trail joins the Annapurna Circuit heading west through Chame, Manang, Thorong La, and down to Muktinath and the Kali Gandaki valley.
Permits: Manaslu Conservation Area permit, Manaslu restricted area permit, ACAP permit, and TIMS card. All included in your trek price.
For the Manaslu section only, the Manaslu Circuit Trek is 15 days (USD 1,675). For the Annapurna section only, the Annapurna Circuit Trek is 20 days (USD 1,825). For a Manaslu detour into the hidden Tsum Valley, see the Tsum Valley Manaslu Trek.
