Trip Highlights

The moments that matter most

The summit viewpoint at 2,128m gives you a bird's-eye view of the Kathmandu Valley with the Himalayan ranges behind. On clear mornings, Langtang Lirung (7,227m) dominates the northern skyline.

The forest is surprisingly dense for being 5km from central Kathmandu. Sal, oak, and rhododendron canopy, birdsong, and the occasional spotted deer create a genuine wilderness feel minutes from the city.

The Jamacho monastery at the summit is a quiet Buddhist shrine with prayer flags strung between trees. Monks sometimes visit for morning prayers. The contrast with the city below is striking.
