Trail conditions in November
Conditions underfoot remain ideal: dry, firm and fast, with the season’s infrastructure still fully operational. The first half of November essentially extends prime season; the second half begins the glide into winter, with shorter days, morning frost reaching further down the valley and the first skeleton-service signs at the highest houses in the final days.
The visual signature of November is clarity plus emptiness. As the crowds thin, the classic viewpoints return to something like solitude: late-November trekkers routinely have Kala Patthar’s sunrise with a handful of others rather than a hundred, under skies as good as any October morning.
