Best of Annapurna is the latest term associated with this fast growing trekking route of Annapurna region as Khopra Danda Trek. Decisively trekkers can find outrageously beautiful and never seen before views of the Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167 m) and Mt. Annapurna (8091 m) from the hill top of Khopra. The side hiking trip of the spectacular Khayer Lake during this trekking in Nepal would add the spark. Trekkers would be amazed to see the tranquil place above clouds at the off the beaten paths of Annapurna trekking routes. The usual world famous sunrise trekking route of Ghorepani Poon Hill too can be accommodated during the trip of Khopra. Therefore, the journey will add the prosperous dimension to trekking holidays in Nepal.
18 days of sumptuous natural holiday begins similar to that of Ghorepani Poon hill trek or Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The bus drive will take you to Nayapool and trek along the lush green forests in Ulleri towards Ghorepani passing by camp site of Tikhedhunga. During the season of rhododendron the trail looks absolutely vibrant with colorful flowers. The iconic sunrise view from Poon Hill is the start of best things to do in Khopra Danda Trek. As you witness the sun rising from the casement of Himalayas kissing mountain vistas of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Himchuli, Machhapuchhre, Neelgiri and others the journey heads to village of Swanta. The hill top of Khopra waits you lying above the clouds with Dhaulagiri and Annapurna smiling right at you. The hiking of the Khayer Lake the following day marks the time to act as the best travel photographer. You don’t have to become a professional photographer for the best pictures but the surrounding will automatically make you one of them. The journey then heads back to Khopra for the return trip to Tadapani. From this place you will follow the same pattern towards Tikhedhunga for the bus drive to Pokhara. You can have option to roam around Ghandruk as well. The choice is yours.

August 07, it was our first time in Nepal, and we decided to go to the Upper Mustang (there is no bad monsoon time there at this time). We were solucky, that Prem was our guide and companion during 2 weeks.
Experienced and extremely knowledgeable guide about trekking
We completed the Everest Base Camp in December 2008 with Prem and we had an incredible time. When you have no previous serious trekking experience and no experience in Nepal, travelling with the right guide is the single most important element of your trip and we have to say we felt very lucky.

Annapurna Circuit in May
it was great while we were there together on the mountains etc. All in the same boat and as they say that sinking feeling but we were adamant and were keen on not letting the ship drown and carried on and persevered and eventually we saw light at the end of the tunnel - literally - we reached muktinath -a very holy place for buddhists and hindus alike !!!
