Ganjala Pass Trek is the fascinating journey of the Langtang region of Nepal. Travel through the mystical valleys, gompas and high altitude pass in a single trip to Nepal. The chilled air and the soothing sound of the prayers as well as the serene smell of incense in Gompas make trekkers’ soul tranquil. Forest walk in the territory of the Ghodatabela and Lama Hotel then the callous atmosphere of the Langtang Valley worth every penny spent for the trip. The village ravaged by the glacier outbreak and earthquake is slowly rising again. You will be impressed by the intrepid feeling of people after such disaster.
The journey starts similar to that of the Langtang Valley Trek until Kyanjin Gompa for the Ganjala Pass Trek as well. The joyous drive to Syaprubeshi and the trail of watermills, waterfalls, and forests lead towards the forest camp of Lama Hotel. The journey accompanies the Chortens on the way to Langtang Valley. The acclimatization hiking of the Kyanjin Ri offers the breathtaking view of the panoramic mountains. Langtang Lirung, Sishapangma, Ganjala, Langtang Glacier and other magnificent Himalayas can be seen from the top of Ri. You are highly advised to remain as close to the trekking guides of Mountain Hawk during crossing of the Ganjala Pass. This is probably the toughest journey during the passes trekking in Nepal. Once you have crossed this pass you will be welcomed by the green lush forests environment of the Helambu. This place is very famous for the short trekking in Nepal as Chisapani Helambu Trek trail. You will be visiting the various communities of Lama and Tamang people. The bus drive from Melamchi will take you back to Kathmandu.
Ganjala Pass Trek can be compared to that of the mini peak climbing in Nepal. Therefore, an expert guidance is highly recommended. Day 01 – Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345meters). Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 – Pre-trip Meeting and Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 – Drive to Syabru Bensi (1400meters) 8hour. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 – Trek to Lama Hotel(2400meters) 6 hour. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 – Trek to Langtang Village ( 3200meters) 5 hour . Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 – Trek toKaynjing Gompa (3950meters) 5 hour . Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 – Kaynjig rest day and hike to Langsisa Kharka or Glacier langtang -lirung or hike to Tsherko ri (5000M). Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 – Trek to Ganjala Base camp (4000meters) 4 hour . Overnight at tent camp.
Day 09 – Trek to crossing over Ganjala (5130meters) Keldang 8 hour. This day is comparatively strenuous as you need to cross the Ganja la pass. On the Ganja la pass, you can find it covered ith snowy ice most of the times through out the year. Overnight at tent camp.
Day 10 – Trek to Dhukpu ( 4000meter) 6 hour. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 – Trek to Tarkeghyang (2200meters) 6 hour . Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 – Trek to Shermathang ( 2250 meters) 4 hour. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 – Trek to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (840meter) 6 hour. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14 – Day 11 – Drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 15 – Leisure day in Kathmandu Overnight at hotel.
Day 16 – Transfer to international airport for your final flight departure.
Note:- Tight fitting, figure-hugging clothing, such as those made with Lycra can often be offensive to locals, especially on women. If you find these items comfortable as a base layer then please pack something to wear over the top of them.
