Our journey to Bumthang valley trek is one of most remarkable area of Bhutan. Four high valleys are covered in forests that embrace small monasteries, Chortens, traditional stone houses, and markets. Our four-day trek will take you through forests and farmlands, over trout streams to remote villages in which the rest of the world’s last couple of centuries are dim and not particularly enticing rumors. The treks offer such a deep look into Bhutan’s delicate and charming daily life.
The journey begins After a couple of days in Paro we drive to Thimphu’s crafts centers and temples, and then over the splendid Dochu La & Chelila Passes to Tongsa and Jakar, the Bumthang Valley’s main village. This is Bhutan’s most sacred valley, hallowed 1,200 years ago by the visits of Padmasambhava (the great Buddhist master, called Guru Rinpoche or the Precious Teacher). This route can be a great choice for a festival and culture lovers.
Day 01- Arrival at Paro (by Druk Air) and transfer to Thimphu. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02- Paro Sightseeing. O/n at Hotel.
Day 03- Drive to Thimpu . O/n at Hotel.
Day 04- Thimpu Sightseeing . O/n at Hotel.
Day 05- Drive Thimpu to Trongsa (8hours approx.). O/n at Hotel.
Day 06- Drive Trongso to Bumthang (2-3 hours). O/n at Hotel.
Day 07- Walk around Bumthang Valley. O/n at Hotel.
Day 08- Trek begin Bumthang to Nganglhakhang 7 hours. O/n at camp.
Day 09- Nganglhakhang to Ugyencholing . O/n at camp.
Day 10- Ugyencholing to Bumthang. O/n at Hotel.
Day 11- Drive Bumthang to Punakha the old capital city of Bhutan. O/n at Hotel.
Day 12- Morning Punakha valley sightseeing. Afternoon drive to Thimphu (3-4 hrs.). O/n at hotel.
Day 13- Early morning drive to Paro Airport for departure by Druk Air.
